!! OMG, rapper Le1f shares racist abuse he experienced on Grindr after not responding to a message !!

LGBT rapper Le1f experienced some disgusting Grindr hatred and racism this past week while in New Zealand.

The rapper shared on his Instagram:

i’m being hella loose and casual on the gram these days but i think y’all should never not see what it’s like to be black.

Find his awful interaction (or non-interaction which triggered the asshole) after the jump!

  1. It really isn’t about you though. There is a difference between having a nasty exchange with an individual who is just a jerk and another thing entirely when you are targeted for your race. The difference, is the language used. To excuse such racially charged language is kind of the problem. People don’t want to be called racist but they want to say and do racist things.

  2. FIRST….THERE NEESS TO BE SOME TRUTHS EXPOSED HERE.
MEN OF COLR ARE THE ACTUAL +++MAJORITY++ ON THE PLANET!—-NOT WHITE MEN.
    I HAVE TO LEARN THIS
MEN OF COLOR ARE NOT SITTING AROUND “WAITING….BEGGING….PLEADING TO BE WITH WHITE MEN” IN ANY WAY…..SHAPE OR FORM!
    I HAD TO LEARN THIS……
MEN OF COLOR….LIKE WHITE MEN….ARE MAINLY ATTRACTED TO THEIR OWN…
    I HAD TO LEARN THIS……
MOST GAY WHITE MEN HAVE VERY FRAGILE EGOS…AND THINK WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY TOO MUCH OF THEMSELVES!
    I HAD TO LEARN THIS…….

    • This hasn’t been my experience. I tend to attract men of all races. My experience is that black guys love white twinks. It’s ridiculous how much hate exists in the gay community. We have to deal with enough of that from the “straight” world! Ugh!

      • I’m a black gay man. I’ve never had sex with a “white twink” and I don’t really care to. So it’s a bit interesting your comment

  3. I have to say that just because someone says the N-word doesn’t mean they are white!!!!
To say that is the most racist thing I’ve ever heard.

From my experience, most people who use the N-word are African-Americans!!!! And somehow, that’s okay.

The gay guy who wrote this was most likely African-American so you can save all your “Oh, look how hard it is to be black” comments.

  4. But why am I being attacked, not that racist white man, and all the others in the gay community who have alienated black and Asian LGBT?

There is a huge racism problem in the gay community and it’s not just on the apps, as there have been many incidents in public as well. That is the truth.

  5. When you have a stream that starts with “White gay men can be cruel. Fuck them” and the very next thing is “Racist scum like that white man are the absolute worst in the gay community.” it does appear that someone is painting with a very wide brush. People can be ignorant and cruel…no matter their color, race or gender. Let’s make sure two wrongs aren’t trying to make a right.

I’m sorry you suffered such hatred. I’m had my fair share of “creeper, grandpa, why are you here?, shouldn’t you be at home with your wife…” From men of all colors. All because I’m in my 50’s. All you can say is “Being in my 50’s is better than the alternative and if you’re lucky, Millennial, you’ll get here too.”

    • Lol @ your comment, Mike. He said “can be cruel” and “racist scum LIKE that man.” Why you getting triggered… unless, of course, you are also racist?

  6. I’m white and have had more than one nasty exchange on grindr, though maybe not as florid as the above. Receiving vitriol on the internet is no way exclusive to being black. Also, ALL men can be cruel.

    • You’re the same people that when someone says “black lives matter” you obstinately correct them with “all lives matter”. Racist runs rampant throughout the gay community, stop trying to change focus and making it about you, you ignorant fool.

      • Well i didn’t call anyone names, or judge anyone, so I guess you have proved my point. The internet is full of vitriol, and all men can be cruel. Including You.

  7. There are many stories like this. White gay men can be cruel. Fuck them, you’re sexy and a great man.

Racist scum like that white man are the absolute worst in the gay community.

    • Don’t tar every gay white man with the same brush. Stereotyping tosser!

      • And the reason we can’t have a discussion about racism in our community is because pricks like you immediately get defensive and shut the discussion down. He literally said, “racist scum like that white man are the absolute worst in the gay community.” Where on earth did you get the idea that he meant “every gay white man?”

        Sincerely,
        A gay white man

        • Bravo! Well said, good man.

        • He got the idea from what “E” had written, i.e. “White gay men can be cruel. Fuck them, you’re sexy and a great man.”

You only read half of what he said and assumed “121” had gotten unnecessarily defensive. But, in fact, what he said was racist and divisive.

          • Uh, no? Let’s examine what was actually said, shall we?

“There are many stories like this.”
Lots of LGBTQ+ people of color have been affected by racism within our community. True. Not racist. Just a fact.

“White gay men can be cruel.”
Not “are cruel.” Can be. Because there are white gay men who are cruel, as in this particular instance. Not racist. Just a fact.

“Fuck them, you’re sexy and a great man.”
Yes–fuck racists. Not fuck white gay men in general. Fuck white gay men who are cruel. Not racist. Just encouragement.

“Racist scum like that white man are the absolute worst in the gay community.”
“Racist scum like that white man.” Not white gay men in general. Just racists like the one seen in the above screenshot.

Please point me to the racism, Rowan. Doubt you’ll be able to because there isn’t any. Maybe, while you’re at it, you can Google the term “white fragility.”

Pointing out racism isn’t divisive. Pointing out racism is pointing out divisions that already exist. Pointing out racism is necessary to heal those divisions. People like you are part of the problem. It’s so obvious to this gay white man–why isn’t it obvious to you?

        • Say it again for those in the back

      • Someone got a nerve touched. Doesn’t feel good to be broad stroked, you couldn’t handle it for a few hours, poor snowflake.

      • He probably read that statement as “racist scum white man” instead of “racist scum like that white man.” Reading comprehension is dying very quickly!
