“But when a saga popular with pre-adolescent girls peaks romantically on a night that leaves the heroine to wake up covered with bruises in the shape of her husband’s hands — and when that heroine then spends the morning explaining to her husband that she’s incredibly happy even though he injured her, and that it’s not his fault because she understands he couldn’t help it in light of the depth of his passion — that’s profoundly irresponsible.” — Linda Holmes reviewing Breaking Dawn: Part 1 for NPR

  1. Angelus, just because a book or film series sells millions does not make it good quality material.

  2. Regarding Angelus’ OMG ALL CAPS POST! I didn’t think this site allowed flaming, which Angelus’ post clearly is. Also while other people here are talking about their like or dislike of a book/movie series, Angelus chose to personally attack Rovex, which is shameful and rather childish. Whoever decided to allow Angelus’ post seems to not be paying attention to the sites TOS, but that’s just my opinion. As a final note to Angelus, more than 10 million people followed and liked what Hitler had to say, that still makes what he did the worst atrocity to ever befall this Earth, so your defense of 10 million people disagreeing with Rovex falls rather flat.

  3. Rovex has it right, this series of books is the worst garbage, catering to the lowest form of “reader” out there. It’s nothing but a jumbled rehash of every vampire and werewolf story that has ever been written, and the only original thing she came up with was the sparkle, which is of course the lamest part of the entire mess. The only reason the final movie is split into two parts is because they did it for Harry Potter, literally. There was enough story in The Deathly Hallows for two books, to make Breaking Dawn into two movies they had to come up with filler to stretch it out. It rivals Andy Dick as the worst thing to ever happen to Hollywood.

  4. I disagree with this, Edward is not abusive, Bella knew the risk, he’s a vampire she’s human. He’s supernatually stronger then her, he like 10 stonger then her maybe even more. And Oh Yeah its Fiction, its not real.
