Aye! – Looks like Brit Brit was arrested for driving under the influence Wednesday night in Westlake Village, California, according to multiple outlets.
The California Highway Patrol pulled the 44-year-old over around 9:30 PM and she was transported to a hospital for a blood draw to determine her BAC, then booked by the Ventura County sheriff’s department in the early hours of Thursday morning before being released around 6 AM. Her vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.
A representative for Spears called the incident “completely inexcusable” and said she intends to comply with the law and take the right steps moving forward. Her court date is set for May 4th.
Spears deactivated her Instagram following the arrest.
The news comes shortly after she finalized the sale of her music catalog to Primary Wave and was granted a permanent restraining order against a stalker who had appeared at her home. Thank goodness Brit and anyone on the road is alright. She should get herself one of them breathalyzer cars that wont start if you’ve been drinking!
