“I had an incredible, incredible time with Sarah [Michelle Gellar], with all the cast and crew doing this. And we, first and foremost, see ourselves as the guardians of the original show,” Zhao said. “Our priority for Sarah and for us has always been to be truthful to the show, to be truthful to our fans. So, things happen for a reason, and we keep our hearts open and we welcome the mystery. And what this might lead us to.”

It has been 30 years since the show ended. By the time of the final season, everyone was late 20’s to early 30’s. A reboot has the Scooby Gang back in their 50’s. Anthony Head/Giles is 70 this year. As the gang ages, vampires do not. Marster’s nor Boreanaz could not return because actor’s due age. It would have been easier to pick up the story line in 1999 or 2000. Using the characters of Spike and Angel as launch points. Go back to the past, both were over 150 years-old. The same cast could be used and be their own ancestors. Spike runs as a 7-week story arch. It ends with Angel in the 7th episode. The 3rd arch could use both. Bring back the Master in the 4th arch. I was Buffy fan in the 1990’s and still watch the reruns on cable. A reboot, no, in this case you cannot go home again

  2. At least now we know the creator of this website is American. Who else would just assume the race of a person in order to push a narrative?

  3. The right studio will green light the project.

  4. I needed this reboot so bad. TV is just one show after another that ends around season 2/3 just when you get into it.

  5. Good, they would’ve ruined Buffy’s legacy
