One of the August releases we’re most excited about is Erykah Badu‘s first album in 12 years! Before the World Blows has been blowing our minds all month. When you blast this sexy downtempo record, the room might fill with incense, but you’ll still be breathing fresh air. Our favourite track is “Hot Bibi,” with its absurd production. Ms. Badu has us tripping and reverberated but with the most astute clarity!
We’ve also been loving Troye Sivan‘s new song She’s the Best. This song is a special combination of hazy bedroom pop, with spoken word, and shouts out of Diva Worship. We love to see a twink giving the divas their flowers! Don’t miss the music video which features a cameo from Nicole Kidman.
Speaking of divas, we’re obsessed with the new album from Glitch Diva herself, Arca. XXXXX is giving us echoes from another realm, with exiled alien species, glowing mineral crystals, and floating flora. The sound perfectly captures a dark landscape with pops of neon. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!
