I love Dolly and have since I was a little kid. She is out there and out loud with her life. She shares her faith in a meaningful way most of the time and isn’t afraid to show that she has faults. She also stands with her fans.
I also love the fact that she is telling off NC while still showing up for her fans.
As for the reporter, she is reading a scripted report that is meant to make the report look unbiased. Yeah it is meant to target the community but it isn’t her fault for reporting the story the way she did. That blame rests on the shoulders of her bosses and script writers.

It brings a great deal of money to the state, they are lowkey most of the time, so the money is where it counts. Performers, mostly musicians, however, need to know visibility matters. Them canceling it doesn’t punish the state, it punishes their fans. These aren’t state or dictator sponsored events they are canceling, but fan paid for concerts. They aren’t earning any good will.
Of course, the stupid bitch reporting on this had to ruin the story by ending with “see as ‘targeting’ the lgbt community.” It isn’t seen, you stupid bitch, it IS!
