Needless to say, there’s a lot of expectation and a lot riding on whether or not this biopic will be any good! SO many Elvis fans out there. Lotsa Karens (what!? they were teenage girls when he was at his peak) are gonna crazy pissed if this is shit.
The film stars Austin Butler and Tom Hanks and is directed by Baz Luhrmann (Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliette). Our bets are that Baz will kill it. Check out the brand new trailer after the jump! Thoughts?
I saw this film in preview about 5 months ago. I never heard of Austin Butler, but he is FANTASTIC in this. You expect Tom Hanks to be good, but OMG is Austin amazing. He does all his own singing and guitar playing as well. It’s a film with all the visuals of a Baz film, but this is Austin’s. I can’t wait to see it again.
