“I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out, they cut it, I think they got chicken.”
– Actor Denzel Washington, on his Macrinus character in Gladiator II.
BUT, director Ridley Scott has firmly denied this statement from Washington. Speaking to Variety at the premier for the film in Hollywood, Scott said:
“No, that’s bullshit. They never did. They acted the moment — it didn’t happen.”
Hmmm. Whom is telling the truth!?
Didn’t Denzel famously advised a young Will Smith “whatever you do, never kiss a man on film” before Will accepted a role playing a gay man in Six Degrees of Separation?
They did film a kiss in that movie but they filmed it in a way that they would not show their lips touching I remember. I also remember in that movie him getting banged by a male escort when the hosts walked in on them LOL
What you think? Celluloid is still a closet. Can’t sell movies to homophobic countries. A bit sick
