Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has previously spoken about having had brain aneurysms in 2011 and 2013 when she was filming the show. Daenerys Targaryen says that she was lucky to have survived, but now has missing parts to her brain. Speaking on BBC One’s Sunday Morning, she said:
“The amount of my brain that is no longer usable – it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions.
“I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.” Emilia added after seeing a scan of her brain: ‘There’s quite a bit missing! Which always makes me laugh.
Wow. It seems as if she has a pretty good perspective and grateful outlook on the whole thing. That’s scary sitch! Emilia launched her own charity, SameYou, in 2019 to support others recovering from brain injuries. Find her full interview after the jump!
