    after money? to shut up?

  2. Why is that your headline? Michael Phelps never dated her, and any closer examination of this makes trans women look like dishonest fame-whore liars, even if you think he’s transphobic. You’re hurting with your dishonesty, not helping. Do better.

    • She doesn’t make Trans people look bad, she makes herself look bad. If anyone is going to judge an entire community based on 1 person then that says more about you than them.

    • Rene- you’d better google her interview with Howard Stern, among other things. All indicators are she did INDEED date him. It was during the time he had the DWI incident. I’m not one to say OMG does the best posts (I won’t even try to call it reporting) but here, there is a relevant tie between the two.

      • Is a Howard Stern interview with the person making questionable claims, better reporting than OMG?? Wow.
What matter to me (and I’ll get roasted) is what Phelps thinks in his own mind and how that directs his actions. He has a history of helping others, being philanthopic, and kind. This “she/he said he said” gossip is rot.

        • thom- you’re obviously not familiar with the way Howard Stern has grown into one of the more respected celebrity interviewers in the U.S. To show you what a sea change there’s been- even Hillary Clinton when on his show for a well reasoned interview. So yes, Howard’s interviews aren’t even in the same universe as OMG Blog posts. But I referenced the other sources that are out there in terms of corroborating her claims. Talyor does make a very valid point: If what she says is false – if she’s lying, Phelp’s people – AND HIS SPONSORS -would have come after her with hell-like fury. They would have had restraining orders in the blink of an eye. She has texts to back up their relationship. Think about it.

  3. This person sounds like someone that got dumped (if they even ever dated?).
What Phelps is asking/suggesting is legitimate and valid. Not everyone who has questions is automatically transphobic, not matter what some people say. There are MANY restrictions in athletics, this is a relatively new matter to address, and isn’t necessarily coming from fear or hatred. Grow up.

  4. Yikes. I don’t think she thought it was going to go that way. She actually proved his point. I’m all for being yourself. But I just don’t think it is a level playing field. If it were you would see more ftm athletes running to male sports.

hi — I’m NOT all for “being yourself” and “living your truth”! — what if your “self” is a pedophile, what if your truth is to harass & bully LGBTQ people! — Hitler was “himself” and “lived HIS truth!” — I’m all for KINDNESS, TOLERANCE, GENEROSITY, FORGIVENESS, ETC.

      • Seriously? That’s where your mind goes? Seek help if that is where your mind automatically goes.

hi — your comment does NOT address the content of what I wrote, it just insults me — wherever my mind automatically goes, would be followed by contemplation & consideration, and would have to be truthful & necessary for me to write/say it, preferably kindly, but at worst neutrally. My comment came out of this process, and I stand by it: I do NOT support people being “themselves” and “living their truth” when that person’s “self” and/or “truth” involves hurting others, as was the case with Hitler, who was “himself” and “lived HIS truth” !
