Eric Roberts says his sister, actress Julia Roberts, doesn’t want him to talk about her.
“You’ll have to ask her. I love my sister, but I can’t talk about her. She doesn’t wanna talk about it.”
And it doesn’t stop there. His daughter Emma said:
“My daughter told me also not not to talk about her, but I stumble and do. I’m not supposed to talk about either of them. But I do.”
Eric used the opportunity to praise his daughter. “I am in love with my daughter’s work these days like I can’t, I can’t believe how great she’s become. I’m so proud of her I can’t see straight. Since her performance in Maybe I Do until right now, she overwhelms me with pride and just, ‘Oh my God. Here she goes again.’ And I’m just so happy to be her dad because she’s kicking ass, and I’m so proud.”
If Eric had anything to do with his daughter’s success, “Absolutely nothing. Except I gave her that name.”
Jeeze! Family can get complicated enough – try doing it in Hollywood!

This is completely misleading and pointless. Eric should be commended for not talking about his family.
I was behind ER in line at a Rite Aid years ago – Emma was there with him, she was maybe 7 or 8. He was hitting on the very young woman in line in front of him (she was 17 if she was a day old). Total creep. There’s a reason his family doesn’t want him speaking about them at all…
What did he have to say about his daughter’s reputation as an all around nasty person?
He might have not helped his daughter but it is well known that he did help Julia Roberts get started in the business.
Never have I ever seen Emma Roberts in anything and had the same reaction he did.
