Or is it her replicant decoy? Check out Avril Lavigne beggin’ the LORT above in HEADA ‘BOVE WATER. Thotz? Do you miss Avril’s chunky tie-over-tshirt mallpunk aesthetic?

I’m doubtful she’s a Christian artist now. Just because her song charted on Christian charts (she does sing to God in this song which is why they probably play it on Christian radio) it’s really no different than a Country artist crossing over to Pop charts for one of their songs. It’s about her battle with Lyme disease and how she thought she was going to die. Her lyrics make perfect sense, but again, I doubt she went the Christian record road with her next release.
That is not Avril Lavigne. She was replaced in 2003 by a body double. That is Melissa Vandella. The lyrics say…
“Yeah my life is what I’m fighting for
Can’t part the sea, can’t reach the shore”
“Melissa overtly exposing the higher power — whether that be the government, the Illuminati or Avril’s record label — would most likely result in her death. Melissa is literally fighting for her life.”
