the background story is is that the baby koala was abandoned by its mother who, apparently, was delierious from a heatwave. the family who gave it water turned it over to an austrialian animal rescue group and it’s now being cared for in a sancturary.
That’s so cute and he must be feeling really hot and the poor thing felt it needed to cool down after quenching its thirst.
what saddens me is this was taken in Victoria before the bush fires and this little animal is probably one of the millions of animals that died its so tragic and to think these fires were purposely lit well part of it any way
as an Australian myself im disgusted that anyone would even think to cause this that’s fucked up
