Big, triple-whammy news for “Star Wars” fans today: George Lucas is retiring, he’s sold Lucasfilm to Disney, and “Star Wars: Episode 7” is due to release as soon as 2015. To help explain the transition, the director sat down for an interview with his second-in-command at Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, who says the following directly to her “Yoda” in the video: “The main thing is to protect these characters, make sure that they still continue to live in the way that you created them — and that the universe of Star Wars continues to grow.
