My ex-boyfriend (a marine biology enthusiast) recently informed me that dolphins started out their stay on Earth as land animals. Somehow he failed to mention that beluga whales were also once soil-dwellers…in Mexico. Because why else would this whale in Connecticut be so enthralled by a Mariachi band?
