We’re still three months away from the 2011 Met Gala honoring Alexander McQueen, but my fashion glands are already salivating (gross?). At a ceremony in London this week, the organizers of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art revealed details about the exhibit, which will feature more than 100 signature creations including the bumster trouser, kimono jacket and origami frock coat.
On hand at the ceremony were exhibit chairs François-Henri Pinault and Salma Hayek-Pinault (yes, that Salma Hayek), and co-hosts Anna Wintour and Stella McCartney. Their third co-host Colin Firth was absent, mostly likely due to kingly, speechy Oscar promotion. Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty opens May 4 and runs through July 31.
