Not many people realise the pressure black actors face to conform to certain types of “blackness” in Hollywood, whether it be light-skinned or dark-skinned. Here, Oprah‘s OWN network talks to actress Raven Symone among others on why they felt pressure to appear “blacker” to get roles on network TV.
