Now that Ricky Martin‘s out, loud and proud, so are his music videos. His latest for The Best Thing About Me Is You, the song he sang for Oprah with Joss Stone, features same-sex couples and a message about equality. And a lot of black paint. Kinky.
Give the guy a “break”! It took great courage for him to “come-out” in March of last year and this song, I’m sure, is a “big-leap” for him. Oh, and in case you are wondering, I’m a 50 year old “out” gay man who happens to “like” the song and the symbolism it represents.
Apparently equality sets no place at the table for the old, fat or non-gorgeous.
I don’t think Ricky’s going to get his point across with mediocre, and over done symbolism as well as a truly shit song. Just no.
This is horrifying.
