Aaaaaand here they are: the four Out100 covers featuring playwright and activist Larry Kramer, model Andrej Pejic, actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and gay goddess Kathy Griffin. “In 2011, we were reminded of the extraordinary power of the individual to inspire and motivate by example,” Out’s editors said of their selection. “All four were shot with references to classic Vogue covers from the 1960s. This year’s entire portfolio was inspired by iconic portraits of the 20th century, from Richard Avedon’s image of a shaving Marlon Brando and Robert Mapplethorpe’s Patti Smith to Herb Ritts’s Madonna and Harry Benson’s timeless portraits of the Beatles pillow-fighting.” Head to Out.com to see the entire lineup.
Andrej is so perfect. And the others don’t look bad either.
Who picked these photos?! Jesse looks like he just picked his nose. And Kathy looks awful. She looks made of wax, and what is up with her eyes? It’s like they went overboard on the photoshop, but in all the wrong ways. Even Kathy herself would admit that she’s not exactly Nicole Kidman in the looks department, but I’ve seen her look way better than that!
I love Andrej!!!
I get why Larry Kramer is on the cover, but the rest??? JT Ferguson??
