Because we can’t seem to stop revisiting our girl Dorothy’s land of Oz, Disney takes us inside the story of the man behind the curtain with “Oz: The Great and Powerful” starring James Franco as the wizard. The film also features Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams as the polarizing witches of the West and North (an interesting casting spin on that Kristin Chenoweth/Idina Menzel duo), as well as Mila Kunis and Zach Braff. A strong cast to say the least — so hopefully this version will nail it.
I wonder if Glinda will be from the South like she is originally in the books, or if they will have her be from the North like they did in The Wizard of Oz movie.
Looks great but I believe that Rachel Weisz is the witch from the east (house falls on her) and Mila is the west (green, (elphaba from wicked).
