Belgrade-born, sometimes Toronto-based producer Kat Duma just dropped the video for her second single, “Daydream.” The song continues down a similar tripped out, subdued and dreamy path as her debut release, System,” which you can watch after the jump.
While writing and producing all of her own work, Duma leans into a warm, trip-hop influenced atmosphere, in a world where anxious, post-pandemic paranoia dominates elsewhere. The result is both captivating and hypnotic.
The video, directed by Mary Chen, mirrors the psychedelic endlessness of the song, so no, you haven’t been dosed with valium, thats just Kat Duma.
We’re so excited for her forthcoming album! Until then we have “Daydream” on loop. You can stream the songs on Spotify here.
