I like this pop voice for her. Contemporary, fresh, not affected like all the breathy melancholics around. She has a little soul, rides the line between genders until she goes
Chaka on that wail. And the production was funky and sincere. I’m an old music snob, but i give this 8’s across.
I really like the sound of this song. It reminds me of 70’s Motown. I just wish MJ’s voice wasn’t so overly processed. She has such a beautiful tone to her normal singing voice. Sadly, the only real time you hear her real voice is in the second verse. Though the rest of the song sounds great, it really doesn’t sound like her. Either way, I hope she has a very successful career and can’t wait to hear more from her.
