Elon is just trolling with Twitter or X or whatever he wants to call it. It’s his little virtual playground that I want no part of.
Says he wants freedom of speech but then threatens bans for people using the word cis and gives racists, pedophiles, conspiracy theorists, sexists and homophobes their accounts back. Forgives someone using antisemitic language and symbols and a person who posted child porn … but don’t say cis! If he really wanted freedom of speech, he wouldn’t introduce new bans on words specifically used by minority groups.
It’s obvious he wants to give the right a voice and silence the left. That’s just the opposite of the old Twitter rules. It’s not free speech. Freedom of speech to him is people saying what he believes and silencing people who don’t. He’s a hypocrite with a lot of money.
It’s personal for him. His trans kid he has disowned probably used the word cis so now he’s outlawing it in the part of the virtual world he now owns.
There is no such thing as freedom of speech. Elon is an example of that. There will always be that person to govern what is acceptable speech and what isn’t.
