Lukas Gage in Down Low
Out actor Lukas Gage is adding to his roster of viral moments with his latest project, Down Low. Gage co-wrote this raunchy comedy, in which he plays a twinky sex worker who opens up a recently-out family man, played by fellow queer star Zachary Quinto. Gay men in interesting gay roles. We love to see it.

Here’s the low down on Down Low: Gary (Quinto) hires Cameron (Gage) to give him a massage with a happy ending. This jerk-off scene actually kicks off the entire movie, with Cameron working his hand down Gary’s body (his whole body),all before the opening credits.
Cameron finds out that Gary is completely new to the gay world (Gary recently split from his wife after coming to terms with his sexuality), and Cameron takes it upon himself to show Gary the ropes—a mission that leads the two on a wild, raunchy, and most importantly gay, adventure.
The buddy comedy makes a surprise pivot when Cameron and Gary have a meet-up with a man named Sammy (Sebastian Arroyo). He gives Cameron a BJ, but the fun is stopped short when the three men get into an argument with fatal consequences. You can’t have a gay buddy comedy without some sex… and some murder?
One other highlight that we have to touch on is the intimate gay sex scene between Lukas Gage and Zachary Quinto. Gage shows us a bit of his smooth peach while giving it to Quinto in the missionary position. One of the best A-list gay scenes of the year? It’s no Passages, but is certainly in the running.
As we mentioned, Down Low is only the latest in Gage’s lineup of viral roles. Most famously, he got his ass ate by fellow out star Murray Bartlett in the first season of The White Lotus.
And he sexed up the most recent season of You in a surprising way—Penn Badgley catches Gage getting peed on by a man.
