She requested that they remove her name to protect her privacy, but they refused. However, this was misconstrued as her demanding that they unpublish the photo of her house, resulting in the negative term “The Streisand Effect.”
Jackie Onassis asked Barbra to write a memoir in 1984, but Barbra turned her down.
