Transgender actress and LGBT activist Alexis Arquette passed away Sunday morning at age 47, surrounded by family. Alexis was born Robert Arquette and started acting at age 12. She went on to earn roles in the Bride of Chucky, Of Mice and Men, and played a Boy George impersonator in The Wedding Singer. Patricia Arquette, David Arquette and Rosanna Arquette were all at Alexis’ side when she passed. They posted these beautiful words about her passing yesterday:
“Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am,” Richmond posted on Facebook. “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie‘s Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.”
RIP Alexis! You’ll be missed! And we can’t think of a better way to enter the afterlife than knowing you’re about to meet Bowie there too!
Why did they make that post brother-brother-sister-brother? They were clearly making a statement about something. How did he become brother again just before death and even if he did why publicly announce it. Just let it die.
So was She transitioning back to a man?
