“I took a lot of time educating myself on the political system and the branches of government that are signing off on bills that affect our day-to-day life. I saw so many issues that put our most vulnerable citizens at risk, and felt like I had to speak up to try and help make a change. Only as someone approaching 30 did I feel informed enough to speak about it to my 114 million followers. Invoking racism and provoking fear through thinly veiled messaging is not what I want from our leaders, and I realized that it actually is my responsibility to use my influence against that disgusting rhetoric. I’m going to do more to help. We have a big race coming up next year.”
– Taylor Swift, who’s influence is said to be one of the most powerful in America when it comes to her reach and audience.

I welcome anyone that helps get the orange clown out of office. Go Taylor!
I love how she is legit saying she’s gonna use her voice and influence to support vulnerable people, and she gets sh*t on. When she said nothing, she got sh*t on. She’s a better person than I am because I’d have to respond and be like, “f*ck yall – i’m rich and set for life. Worry about your own politics cuz i’m coasting.”
What are those things on her chest? She looks like a 1956 Cadillac.
Bless her heart.
The fact that some people will actually derive their political leanings from any celebrity that has no experience in the art of government just underline my belief that democracy is wasted on the stupid.
Agreed. Which is why so many stupid people voted for a tv celebrity in 2016 and believed all of his lies and still continue to do so.
Sulla, you are not wrong. It’s “bread and circuses” from the roman era all over again. Keep the masses distracted with shiny objects (celebrities) and you can get them to do whatever you want.
