Dreading Thanksgiving and Christmas!? Well Anna Biller, director of the iconic THE LOVE WITCH, is right there with you! Biller has been ghosted by her family over the holidays for the past several years, and took to Twitter to express her frustration with this time of year.
Thanksgiving reminds me of the time a few years ago when my mom told me they weren't doing Thanksgiving that year, and then later I saw that my sister had posted photos of it all over Facebook.

It was a fairly large gathering, including relatives from out of town that I hadn't seen in years, and friends of my parents. I never mentioned to anyone in the family that I'd seen the photos.

I wish we could all just decide ahead of time that I will never see them on Thanksgiving to avoid the awkward excuses every year, but I'm too polite to call them on it.

Last year for various reasons we also missed Christmas with them. I hope that didn't set a precedent. I hate the holidays.
