I just saw all three episodes of the new ABC comedy Ugly Betty last night, and while I was expecting a fluffy rip-off of The Devil Wears Prada that might be entertaining for a few minutes, I can definitively say I love this show. The writing is funny and clever, lead actress America Ferrera is “real” in the best sense of the word, and plus you get campy moments like Vanessa Williams getting botox injections in her forehead from her gay assistant, and Salma Hayek playing the pregnant maid in a Spanish telenovela. Hayek is also one of the show’s producers.
Eric Mabius, who plays Betty’s boss, is always easy on the eyes, though in his one shirtless scene he did not look quite as firm as he did in those naked photos I published a while ago. Nevermind Eric’s extra flab: ABC has decided to pick up Ugly Betty for a full season because of its fantastic ratings, and I have added it officially to my roster of “must-watch” shows, right next to Project Runway, Top Model, and Weeds.
I tend to agree. But nice eye candy, none the less. Thanks for sharing
looks fine to me girl.
