A caption attributed to Ginsberg on the photos he took of Henriksen reads, “Lance Henriksen showed up, a beautiful, strange face.” The precise circumstances of their meeting aren’t documented; Henriksen has said he “ran into” Ginsberg while in a state of emotional devastation and that Ginsberg talked him down.
