Student debt has hobbled a generation. It all seems part of continued efforts to further divide the classes and erase the middle. I hope we figure it out soon, cuz mocking millennials isn’t doing anything to improve the country.
College costs are indeed an issue that has been escalating since 1980 and most of us can’t expect some generous billionaire to help us out.
We can help ourselves by not buying a college degree in a gold wrapper like Morehouse. With tuition of $27k it’s a big step above the local state college at $9k and the student is volunteering to take an extra $72k of debt to attend a school that isn’t as good as the public alternative but has fancier buildings.
We can blame phantom forces seeking to “divide the classes” but we should first look in the mirror.
It’s a shame that more billionaires can’t be as forward thinking as Smith. Kudos to him for stepping up and giving the graduating class a foot up that early in life!
I wish that class well, and hope they are inspired to head out and change this world.
The series is for Batwoman not Batgirl. Currently, the only thing the two characters have in common is the fact that they are both female members of the Bat-family and they have worked together.
