“The inspiration for the video came from an experience I had at Jerk in August 2023. I was feeling sort of self conscious on that day…. I had one too many, and I felt myself drifting further and further from reality. People kept coming up to me to say “hello” and ask me how I was, and it took all my effort just to get a few words out. And it really stuck with me that in this club full of people, all I could do was be aware of my own body, and how far I was from everyone else. It was extremely disorienting. When I decided to do a video for “Caller Disconnected,” I immediately knew I wanted to visualize that experience, the feeling of losing connection with reality, and the sense of isolation that happens in the club, not just with substances, but if you really connect with the music.”
The track has a dark energy, and I feel like capturing the uncanniness of being alone in a club creates a sense of disorientation and confusion that really emphasizes the vibe of the music.”
