!! OMG, they’re naked: Brock Yurich and Mike Edward in Test (2026) !!
Brock Yurich spent ten years getting TEST made, and it looks like he spent a fair amount of that time at the gym too. He wrote the queer bodybuilding drama from his own life and stars in it. The film follows Eddie, a small-town competitor with a steroid habit, a devout mother who doubles as his manager (Tammy Blanchard), a secret cam-model side hustle and a growing thing for his coach, played by Mike Edward. Matthew Morrison plays the local pastor, because of course there’s a pastor.
TEST has been cleaning up on the festival circuit. It won the audience award at Provincetown, the jury award for outstanding first narrative feature at Frameline and an award at Queer Screen in Sydney. Dark Star Pictures is bringing it to U.S. and Canadian theatres in 2027. Instinct already called the two leads “completely smashable,” and um, agreed.
