Of course it’s historically correct, we’ve been shaving, plucking and, waxing for thousands of years! In fact the Roman author and politician Seneca wrote to his friend Lucilius (Letter 56.1-2) complaining about the noise from the public baths including the screams of men having their armpit-hair plucked and the plucker drumming up more customers. So why wouldn’t this have continued throughout time.
The concept of manscaping is relatively new. Even women in Europe as recently as the 1980’s weren’t shaving their legs or armpits (I lived there then). Until recently, it seems a majority of men in Europe were addicted to their razors. Thank God that isn’t entirely the case anymore. And don’t start. You like men shaved, that’s fine. I don’t have to.
totally! Germany, East Europe and the Nordics are the worst. You’ll go to a sauna and 90% of them are fully shaven, everything. It’s just such a turn off
