Jessica Simpson is leaning into a new chapter.
At the Los Angeles premiere of All’s Fair on Thursday, the 45-year-old singer, fashion designer, and now actress opened up about life after her split from Eric Johnson — including what’s happening on the dating front.
Simpson has a cameo on the legal drama, which stars Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, and others. She told PEOPLE she had “no idea” how she landed the role, describing it as unlike anything she’s done before. Her on-screen love interest is Rick Springfield, 76, and she had fun with the experience.
As for her real-life love life, Simpson told Extra she’s discovered a new preference since becoming newly separated:
“I think I’m into younger men at the moment. When you’re newly separated… I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older women, I’m discovering.”
