This video is my Valentine’s Day love letter to Luigi Mangione. OK, maybe it’s more of a lust letter! Shot in Woodstock, NY by Heidi and Jeff fro @outofthewoodsproductions, Steven Love Menendez plays Luigi. Not only is Luigi sexy, but he became a folk hero because so many Americans are fed up with our mafia-esque health insurance system. I don’t recommend killing CEOs, but 68,000 Americans die annually from no insurance or being under-insured, and their deaths are also a crime. And the company whose CEO Luigi shot, United Healthcare, is known for denying around 1/3 of its claims. In other words, we pay a monthly insurance premium in the hopes that we’ll be covered by our insurance company if we get sick. Then when we do get sick, the insurance denies 1/3 of our claims?!?! The system is broken…

Also, a big thanks to Chappell Roan for calling out record companies for not insuring artists at the Grammys. It looked like she borrowed my eyelashes for the awards show, so I hope she doesn’t mind me borrowing her fun song!

No Republican politicians support Medicare For All, even though a small majority of GOP voters do. In fact, Trump just bizarrely claimed that if he made Canada the 51st State, their healthcare would improve. LOL! Then why do so many Americans got to Canada to buy cheaper drugs, Donald?

The Democratic party has cheated candidates like Bernie Sanders, who made Medicare For All his signature issue in 2016 and 2020. Even though 70-80% of Dem voters support it, Biden campaigned in 2020 on vetoing Medicare For All if he won. You ignored the will of your own party’s voters, Joe!

Progressive Democrats like AOC and The Squad won their seats by campaigning on Medicare for All. Yet months ago, the House Progressive Caucus released it’s 2025 agenda, which doesn’t even include the healthcare plan! So there’s literally no one in Congress fighting for what most Americans want.

Don’t pull out a gun like Luigi, but do pull out your phone and call and email your representatives—they’re supposed to work for us. Ask them why the USA has the highest healthcare costs and some of the worst healthcare outcomes. And why even after the meager improvements of Obamacare, medical expenses are still the #1 cause of bankruptcy! This doesn’t happen in other countries.

If someone from a rich family like Luigi are sick of our insurance scam, imagine how working Americans are feeling the pinch. Demand nothing and you’ll get nothing!
