If you’re like us, you’re probably feeling like hermits or nocturnal animals yourselves today, wanting to crawl into a dark hole and stay there for, oh say, around 4 years! Well whether you decide to embrace the day in protest or not today – Tom Ford‘s new film NOCTURNAL ANIMALS starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal just dropped his beautiful new score for the thriller and you can Spotify the shit out of it below!
In an interview with Where To Watch, the composer Abel Korzeniowski spoke about his approach to fashioning the score. ââNocturnal Animalsâ is a slightly larger score in terms of orchestration,â he explained. âWe recorded in London with their session players, and the orchestral forces were stronger, but thereâs some electronic elements.â
âBut, itâs not a long score because this movie didnât really call for wall-to-wall music,â he added. âItâs only in crucial places, but when it comes in you can really hear it and youâre aware of it. Itâs a really carefully balanced and chosen amount, contrasting with the gritty, raw character in the second part of the film, which is almost without music.â
Korzeniowskiâs previous credits include Showtimeâs âPenny Dreadful,â the 2013 film âRomeo & Julietâ starring Hailee Steinfeld, and the thriller âZiarno prawdy.â His music has also been used for a slew of fashion shows including Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera and Tom Ford.
Nocturnal Animals will be released in select cities on November 18 and arrive in theaters nationwide on December 9.
