It is creepy (because the person doesn’t know her) and insulting. (because some people assume that because one is of a certain age, one has to be mother, therefore implying looking older)
I have to agree with her, the whole mom calling thing IS creepy unless you have permission from the person first or know they are someone who is OK with it.
