The United States has had ENOUGH of young people sharing the ugly, inconvenient truths about the US’ warwongering and rolling back of their citizen’s human right… erm… I mean, they have had ENOUGH of China ‘stealing’ their citizens’ data via TikTok – what with it being a Chinese-owned app (like Grindr) and such.
The US are said to finally be putting their foot down – their left arm pointed up – and their hips sliding out to the right on SUNDAY!:
WASHINGTON/NEW YORK, Jan 15 (Reuters) – TikTok plans to shut U.S. operations of its social media app used by 170 million Americans on Sunday, when a federal ban is set to take effect, barring a last-minute reprieve, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
The Washington Post reported President-elect Donald Trump, whose term begins a day after a ban would start, is considering issuing an executive order to suspend enforcement of a shutdown for 60 to 90 days. The report did not say how Trump could legally do so.
For all of our TikTok superstars out there – what’s the plan now? Will you just call it a day and retire? Or is there gold to be found on new apps, like Chinese-owned RedNote? We say go for it, if anything, out of spite!
And the other chinese app that tiktok users are flocking too, RedNote, is removing LGBT+ consten and suspemdign accunts, so there is that.
