It looks as if Netflix has to pay up AND credit the Satanic Temple for using their monument in their TV show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina! Earlier this month, The Satanic Temple filed a $50 million lawsuit against WB/Netflix over the statue of the “Dark Lord” that’s on display in the fictional Academy of Unseen Arts in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and well, the results are IN!
“The Satanic Temple is pleased to announce that the lawsuit it recently filed against Warner Bros. and Netflix has been amicably settled,” Satanic Temple attorney Stuart de Haan told THR. “The unique elements of the Satanic Temple’s Baphomet statue will be acknowledged in the credits of episodes which have already been filmed. The remaining terms of the settlement are subject to a confidentiality agreement.”
… AND THE DEVIL LAUGHS! I mean, if you were gonna use a fairytale, or make-believe character like Mickey Mouse without asking, you’re gonna have to pay up!
Oh puh-lease who pays when there’s a statue of Mary or Jebus? Stoopid.
