English model Lily Cole has created a short film for Sky Rainforest Rescue in Acre, Brazil with the aim of helping to protect one billion trees from deforestation.
The film consists mainly of footage shot on an 8mm camera she bought in Paris with fellow Brit and film artist Tacita Dean, and contains images of a rubber-tapping community in Feijó, who’s livelihood is threatened by continued deforestation.
You can read a quick Q&A over at NOWNESS, where Lily discusses the accompanying rubber dress that Vivienne Westwood made specially for her to wear at last week’s Met Ball.
