!! OMG, Glee’s gay sex talk: “…because you matter.” !!

From last night’s Glee:
“When you’re intimate with someone in that way, you gotta know that you’re exposing yourself. You’re never gonna be more vulnerable, and that scares the hell out of a lot of guys…With two guys you’ve got two people who think that sex is just sex. It’s gonna be easier to come by and once you start, you aren’t gonna want to stop. You gotta know that it means something. It’s doing something to you, to your heart, to your self-esteem, even though it feels like you’re just having fun…When you’re ready, I want you to be able to do everything. But when you’re ready, I want you to use it as a way to connect to another person. Don’t throw yourself around like you don’t matter, because you matter.”

  1. i loved this talk, it made me cry 😛 mygay friends are the same aswell, they dont understand how they are precious and they DO throw themselves round! I’m straight but i wish the talk my mum gave me was more like this rather than “use a condom” becuase i doubt would have as many regrets!

  2. Hallalujeh! Kurt’s dad is dead-on accurate. He pretty much explained the roots of gay “promiscuity”. I cannot count how many sad, gay friends I had that are tricking with countless guys in the pursuit of Mr. Right, who will make intimacy easy and lead to a the fairy tale relationship. If they are lucky, they eventually make the link between their sex life and their emotional life and summon the courage to be intimate and compromising…

  3. best. gay. sex. advice. ever.

  4. Jeez, I cant bear all this sentimental schmaltzy crap. I don’t disagree with the sentiment expressed, but just tell it like it is and not like some third rate trashy romantic novel.

  5. I really did love the talk that Kurt’s dad had with him, it was full of some very positive and meaningful words. I was however, disappointed in the fact that once again a show focused so much on the lesbian side of things. The song, the tears, the expressions of love, making two girls together just the best darn thing ever. But then when it comes time to talk to Kurt, he’s given pamphlets and goes up to his room to read them, almost making it seem like being a gay male is something to be embarrassed about and the aspects of gay sex/love hidden away.

  6. I feel like this would have been the perfect moment for him to have sex with his HOT DAD.
