UPDATE: I guess I was the only one who didn’t realize this was a Lego recreation of M.C. Escher’s “Waterfall” drawing. Thanks to all the helpful commenters! Compare and contrast:

Actually, it’s a recreation of a famous M.C. Escher drawing. It’s supposed to be an impossible structure.
Looks to me like it’s a take-off of an M.C. Escher piece.

It’s a (sweet ass) Lego model of a famous MC Escher drawing. He did a bunch of really awesome drawings using tessellation and optical illusions. neat stuff.
