No big deal or anything but Karen L. King of Harvard Divinity School has translated Coptic text on a small piece of papyrus from the fourth century as saying, “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife…'” According to King, the document also states “she will be able to be my disciple,” which in combination with the wife reference adds weight to the argument that Mary Magdalene was really Jesus’ spouse. Suddenly, The Da Vinci Code doesn’t seem so far fetched, does it Dan Brown?
