I’m sorry to be the one to tell you if you haven’t already heard, but that awkward girl in pink from Rebecca Black‘s “Friday” video has her own “song” now. But Benni Cinkle doesn’t just want to follow is Rebecca’s auto-tuned footsteps. Oh no. Girl has set her sights higher. Her video for “Can You See Me Now” (anyone else aghast over the missing question mark?) is a teenage riff on Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” only this one has butterflies.
(Thanks, Kevin, for the tip!)
I cringe at the singing and the slightly over the top “message” but at least she isn’t filling us in on her daily schedule. Obviously she has discovered that your hourly facebook status updates about the super hard decision you make while getting ready for school isn’t an appropriate song. I agree that some people just need to realize that their plan B career path should probably be a priority, however, at least there is a little something to this “song”.
I’m sure she’s a nice girl, but she can’t sing. I can’t sing either, but at least I realize it.
I want to hate it but I kind of don’t. It’s a hell of a lot better than anything Rebecca Black has put out.
