Everybody is talking about Charli XCX‘s new album Brat. The album teeters between two main themes, but remains fresh and catchy all throughout. The first theme is Partying Hard, which we hear very well in the track “365”—something frantic—something that makes you feel like you’ve got to do it all in one night because there is no time! We’re bumping this one loud!
On the flip side, “I may say something stupid” is vulnerable and sincere. It captures the moments of hangover anxiety where you think you might have… said something stupid last night. We’ve all been there! And that’s why Brat will go down as the album of Summer 2024.
Another album we’re turning up loud is Camila Cabello‘s C,XOXO. While her rebrand into an alternative pop girl was hard to buy at first, the final product has left us shaking our asses. Tracks like “Pretty When I Cry” are serving R&B flavour with an uplifting spirit. Play this when you’re sad, and you won’t be sad anymore!
We’re also obsessed with the fashion icon Daphne Guinness‘ new album Sleep. Our favourite song is “No Joke,” where you’ll hear her spooky vocals over a triumphant disco beat. Make sure you check out the music video to see her serving face.
