In new music news: Lorde has quietly re-entered the chat with her new single “What Was That,” and we’re fully tuned in. The track captures that slightly disorienting feeling of looking back on a past relationship and wondering what it all meant. After her soft launch via Brat Summer, this feels like the start of something new. She’s hinted that the upcoming album, Virgin, set to release on June 27, 2025, will explore themes of gender fluidity curious to see where she takes us.
We’ve also been loving Uffie’s new track, “Poolside Goth.” It’s moody, sparkly, and a little bit unbothered… Basically our whole vibe for the summer. Produced by Sega Bodega, it strikes that perfect balance between glossy and off-kilter. “Poolside goth” might just be the aesthetic of the season.
Another thing on our moodboard this month? “CUNTISSIMO”! The name of Marina’s bold new track. It’s a play on “Cantissimo,” a musical term that means a performance that’s loud, expressive, and full of emotion. Think big vocals, big drama, big beauty. Now picture that… but make it c*nty.
