Without denying David’s vim and ability, David is a little man (? 5 ft 2″) whereas Al looks very tall. It distracts from the narrative if the representation is noticeably very different from the actual.
I…LOVE that the Wierd Al biopic is just a parody of all those other biopics (I definitely saw some Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman in there), but with different words! Just like his songs!

It’s not really a Weird Al biopic – it’s a parody of biopics, using Weird Al as a basis story structuring element, kind of like that pretty stupid parody of the Bieber concert film that featured that actor from SNL, I forget his name?
It looks interesting but I’m not going to subscribe to Roku to watch it. I’ll have to plug in my Roku when it drops to see if it’s a free (or plays with ads) or whatever the deal is.
It might be a fun movie but did we really need a Weird Al biopic?
