The notion that any of those male ballet performers would be straight is hard to believe.
as a former dancer, i can assure you the dance world is lousy with hetero male dancers. if you’re a straight guy, what better place to meet girls than in a ballet company?
the disturbing thing is that they tend to make up for the fact that they’re dancers by going uber-hetero and making sure everyone knows they like girls.
The notion that every male dancer — of ANY genre of dance — is supposed gay in and of itself is both quite crude and an excessively overused prejudicial stereotype. It’s also the typical thought process of someone who obviously has truly very little experience in the dance world.
Look at the male dancing pros on the US ‘Dancing With The Stars’ show, for example, seeing as the greatest majority of them are all straight.
