!! OMG, WATCH: Patti LuPone screams at audience member to ‘GTFO’ !!

Well, it looks as if celebrated theatre icon and actor Patti LuPone LOST IT at an audience member! And you just know we are here for this 😂

”The moment was captured by another theatergoer and posted to Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

During a talkback panel following a performance of LuPone’s hit musical Company, the star noticed the audience member improperly masked.

“Put your mask over your nose, that’s why you’re in the theater,” said LuPone, who battled Covid-19 earlier this year.

She continued: “That is the rule. If you don’t want to follow the rule, get the f–k out!”

As the audience cheered in approval, LuPone added: “Who do you think you are? That you do not respect the people that are sitting around you!”

It is rude not to wear a mask while closely sitting next to others during a pandemic. We all know masks decrease your chances of getting Covid and decrease the chances of you passing it on if you have Covid. (No one ever said that wearing a mask is a guarantee you will never get Covid!) Sure, people should follow the rules set by a venue….but more important than following rule is you should care enough about those around you, to wear a mask so you don’t pass Covid on to them and so you don’t get it and become a burden to anyone regardless of the rules. This audience member seems to have forgotten that wearing a mask helps/advances the common good and not wearing a mask hurts us all. All Patti Lupone did was remind this person of their obligation to work toward the common good. Whether she did it appropriately or was rude in doing so, is irrelevant.

  2. WAHT A BITCH!!!!!!
I WOULD HAVE SCREAMED BACK AT HER ASS……..
I WOULD HAVE HURT THAT COWS FEELINGS…..

  3. Masks have been useless from the beginning. That said, who the FUCK does Patti Lupone think SHE is? For all you people who are “rules are rules” – remember when the RULE was black people had to use different entrances or bathrooms? That didn’t get changed by people continuing to “follow the rules”. REGARDLESS of the rule aspect, IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY DAMN SENSE that the audience must wear masks and those on stage don’t. It’s more arbitrary bullshit. Someone in the audience or on the panel should’ve shouted back and put her in HER place. She enjoys spectacle so much in recent years – it’s high time she was called out for HER bullshit. Because SHE is absolutely full of it.

  4. Rules do say that everyone needs to mask up when they are in the theater. That would mean the actors also. Also, it has been proven that masks and the vaccine does not prevent you from catching covid. People are still getting sick even if they are vaccinated n boosted and wearing masks.

Rules are rules, obey them. Patti was right on, some people think they are beyond following rules.

I just want to understand this…

The audience member had a mask on but it slipped under their nose and the appropriate reaction was to scream at this person, use obscenities and embarrass them in front of everyone.

    Do I have this correct?

And from the comments above, you all approve of her very unprofessional and rude behavior.

    WOW!

  7. The cast of Company goes to extreme lengths to keep their cast and crew healthy and make sure the show can go on. As far as I know, they are the only Broadway show that does daily PCR tests for everyone involved in production. The deal on Broadway is that you come in with your mask and that’s how the show goes on. This was a talk back after the show, which was an extension of the performance. The woman without her mask was in the wrong.

  8. Because masking has prevented a million people from dying of COVID. Funny, she wasn’t wearing a mask.

  9. She’s right to do it.
You have to follow what a VENUE states.
Plus, unions for workers/actors wanted the mask mandate to remain and that’s their call not a stupid audience member who thinks they pay the actors’ wage which they DON’T!
Backers/producers pay their wages. Not the customers. That’s why when show don’t have good ticket sales, the producers/backers lose money NOT the actors. They get theirs.

You go girl, I wish everyone had your balls to stand up for what’s right. P.S. Loved you in Sweeney Todd P.S.

  11. She is maskless! Rules for thee and not for her

  12. She is a total megalomaniac. Did she realize that she wasn’t wearing a mask? Rules for thee and not for her – idiot

  13. Patti is batshit crazy but we love her for it.

Would have been nice if she had worn a mask during the opening of Plaza Suite at the Hudson Theater. Of course no one told her to get the fuck out. She is Patti LuPone.

  15. No longer a fan. If sport events can sit fans close, then it is lost on me. If politicians can gather and hang without masks, then it is definitely lost on me. Sad. The world has lost common sense.

    • Restaurants have been posting signs saying: “No shirt, no shoes, no service” for decades. It’s the venue rules. They are justified in setting them and enforcing them. And we’ll see if the world has lost common sense in the fall. Covid isn’t over.

  16. She’s a bitch, always has been. Audience member is an ass also. It’s common courtesy.
